ReplyDeleteWe want freedom not to be ruled! Thomas Paine was born on 29th of January 1737 at Thetford in England. He wrote Common Sense. It was to try to gain independence from the King. The King called them traitors. While all they were asking for was independence. Paine volunteered in the Continental States army. His writing was what leaded them.
Paine wrote The Rights of Man. It was about criticism of the French Revolution. This caused Paine to labeled an out-law in England. for his anti-monarchist views. He would of got arrested but he fled to join the National Convention. Paine was a good author, and he wrote a lot of books. He died on June 8, 1809 at the age of 72 in New York City.

"Fear made men afraid to think but is the irresistible nature of truth". that was part of a quote that was said by Thomas Paine, in 1791 to the rights of man. this quote is saying that we wanted freedom and no slaves. but the people were to afraid to stand up to the king. Even if they did stand up for them slaves they were considered traitors of the king and his views.
Thomas Paine also wrote the pamphlet of Common Sense, and he wrote The Rights of Man. also there was more to the quote that Thomas said in 1791 in his book The Rights of Man, there was more meaning to the story, just more then we think.

This quote also means to me that there is more to something than a little piece of something.
In 1791-92 Thomas wrote The Rights of Man in response of criticism of the French Revolution, he wrote this book so men knew they had rights. In 1776 he published Common Sense, a strong defense of American Independence from the English, he wrote this book so that the Americans know that they have the rights over the English. He published The Case of The Officers of Excise in 1772, he wrote this book because someone argued with a officer.

Thomas Paine is the author of the book,”The American Revaluation.” He said this in 1791. In 1791 the Revolutionary War was happening.

Well Thomas was probably referring to the Americans because Thomas believed that Americans should be free from Britain. In this quote he says, “Freedom had been hunted round the globe.” This means that people from everywhere thrive for freedom and look for where they can have it. Some people may say that Thomas’s words worked and helped people fight through the war and help Americans turn out victorious, but we may never know if they really did.

Standing up for what you believe and never change your mind takes courage and determination. Thomas Paine was a man who believed in making America free from British rule. He wrote a pamphlet called Common Sense, it was about how america should become free. Thomas Paine was born on January 29, 1737. Many people in the time period said that all men are created equal and all men should have rights when born. But many people tried to make themselves believe that they were still doing the right thing even though they have African American slaves. One person who criticized slavery was Thomas Paine, he believed that all men should be treated equal.
“Freedom had been hunted round the globe.” That is part of one of his quotes. It means that many people looked for along time and looked everywhere on earth to find a place of freedom. Thomas Paine was in the continental army. That shows that he really believes in americas freedom. Also it shows that he was a true patriot and willing to fight for his belief.

When Thomas said this, it was the year the ten amendments where finished, and the war was done. Thomas said this quote in one of his four books called Rights of Man, I don’t really know what this book was about, every summary that came up was about 3 or 4 pages long and I was about to fall asleep reading it. But what this quote means? I’m getting to that, I think it mainly tells us about how we wanted freedom, but a small part of us where scared. And many people found it too rebellious for their lives, and that all man suffer from the fears that hunt them.

All the colonists wanted was freedom from the British. The British were not nice so, the colonists fought for there rights. When Thomas Paine made the quote “Freedom had been hunted around the glob; reason was conciderdas rebellion and the slavery of fear had made me afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of the truth that all is asks and all it wants is the liberty of appearing.” That quote was said in 1791 at a Rights of Man speech. This is one of his most famous quotes. This quote was in one of his pamphlets he mad during his life time. This specific Pamphlet was Advancing Rebellion.
Thomas Paine was one of the colonists that wanted rebellion against the British. He was one of the founding fathers. He was a republican but hated the british with a burning passion. Thomas Paine Was a good man who believed in his rights. He wrote the pamphlet Common Sense and Rights to Man. There is always more meaning to the saying than what we know. That is put into place in with quote.

At on epoint he is telling us about freedom and in another he is telling us about slavery. After I picked apart the quote even more I figured out a question that Haunted around me for a while. Is the world we live on a prison? It says right in the quote that are freedom is haunted so does that mean that we have rights that know thinks we should have. Thats where I got that.
So what I really think we need to realize in this quote is that we need to “Enjoy what we have” and not take it for granted because it can be taken away.
War. What goes through your mind when you hear this word? Do you think about life during 1791 when all the wars for our freedom were occurring? Do you think about all the soldiers that have fought for America’s freedom and still are today? I do, and that is what Thomas Paine’s Quote Means to me. His “Haunted” quote was part of the reason he published the Common Sense. After all most of his quotes are on the common sense. When Thomas first said this it was said during the Revolutionary War. “Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. And that would be bad because we wouldn’t have the government and the Presidents and all the other thing we have. So this quote to me means that we fought for our freedom with our own power. We had to go through very tough times filled with fear, death and illness. But we did it. And we are America.

What I think the quote means is everyone wanted freedom but not everyone got it. You had to search and search and fight for freedom. It didn't come easy to those who had it. The thought of slavery made people afraid to think of where and how they would get freedom.
Thomas Paine was an American Revolutionary war writer that gave America the courage to break away from England. He inspired the patriots to declare independence from Britain. His writings also brought courage in times of crisis. His serving time in the Continental Army made him start to publish his series of pamphlets, "The Crisis." Paine published the 'Rights of Man' in England, in support of the French Revolution. Thomas Paine was a political activist who knew how to fight and strive for what he believed in.

As Thomas Paine once said in the Rights of Man in 1791, “Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing.” This quote could be interpreted in a number of different ways. The main point, as I see it though, is that the people wanted change. Every time they thought of being free, the King would accuse them of being a rebel. This is because in the King’s eyes, freedom equates to crime. What Thomas Paine is saying in this letter to Mr. Burke is that freedom is the truth. God created all men equal, and no man shall be treated lesser than another, and that we all have a right to the pursuit of happiness. The truth to our happiness is being free, and all we want is for the truth to shine through. Thomas Paine is trying to persuade Mr. Burke to think differently that freedom is the light in the darkness of our lives.
Thomas Paine had a great way of communicating with people through pen and paper. He was an amazing writer, and had a way of persuading almost everyone he wrote to. Some of his writings, such as Common Sense were so excellent and persuasive that they even made it to be published. Paine’s writing career began in Philadelphia. He had never excelled in school at all and at first did not have a very bright future ahead of him. However, while he was in Philadelphia he found his niche, and his career as a writer began. “On January 29, 1737, Thomas Paine was born in Thetford, England.” - www.ushistory.org He was originally born an Englishman, but would be known as a hero and American until the day he died, and forevermore.

Freedom is one of the hardest things to find in the 18th century. In America especially, freedom was hard to find. For slavery and oppression reigned over the weak. As the famous patriot Thomas Paine said: "Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing." He describes those who might be afraid, yet freedom calls so loudly and it is so appealing, even those who are the most fearful shall stand against those who would take what you love from you.

Victories out do our failures. Someone in history that should know this is Thomas Pain. He was born on 1-29-1737 just 31 years before the war. At the age of 12 he failed out of school and began to apprentice his father. Soon after he started that he failed again. After working for his dad he went to sea when he was 19 years old and found himself as a tax officer. He worked for a number of years and then he returned to America and his life took an important leap.
When he returned to America he went to Philadelphia and became a journalist. he found his skill. He wrote one of the biggest pamphlets in history call “Common Sense”. After his writhing was published it added spark to the rebels fire. He traveled with the continental army but again he was not a successful solider. Then in 1773 he was put in jail in France for not endorsing the execution of Louis XUI. he dies when he was just 72. I think that Thomas Pain was the perfect example for this quote.

Some things are worth fighting for no matter how scared you are. I think thats what Thomas Paine was trying to say in Rights of Man. A book published in two parts, one in March 16th 1791, and February 21 1792. The subject of this book is the French Revolution. "Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing." Paine's Rights of Man was a response to his friend Edmund Burk’s Reflections on the Revolution in France that had first appeared in November 1790.

Finding freedom is very hard to do. Thomas Paine believed in rebellion and fighting for what he believed in. He wrote Rights of Man, which was about the French Revolution and the history of human rights. Thomas Paine’s father had grand visions for son, but by the age of 12, Thomas failed out of school. To me, that doesn’t seem like it, because he seemed like a very intelligent person. His career turned to journalism while in Philadelphia, and suddenly, Thomas Paine became very important. I think this quote made him very famous.

But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing.” ~ Thomas Paine, Rights of Man, 1791. This quote means that you have to fight for something you really want, no matter how hard you have to fight for it. Because of the great length of this document, we have broken it into pieces for ease of loading and navigation. Thomas Paine inspired many people with this quote, and this will continue to inspire people of the future.

There is aways a reason to quit but if you don’t the results will be extrodney. I think that Tomas Paine would have agreed with this statement, that is what I got out of this quote at least"Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing." This quote was from the book The rights of man, this book was banned from Britian though www.spartacusschoolnet.co.uk. Even though 1500,000 copies were sold in his lifetime not all of his ideals were in favor of the Britain or the American. After all his efforts in the revolutionary war were forgotten because of his religion.
In all of his writings it is not shocking that he was an editor of the Pennsylvania Magizinie.ushistory.org. Yet with all of his inspirational words of how we should continue to fight he left America and went to Europe to pursue other ideals. ushistory.org. Is it so surpassing that he was forgotten when he left. Thomas pane showed us that it does not always have to be strength but some inspiration helps us achieve our goals. Freedom is it worth fighting your desire to stay quiet to get a better future.

One of Thomas Paine’s most popular pamphlets was Common Sense which he wrote to persuade the colonists to break away from Britain and become free. This played a big part in the amount of patriots there were compared to loyalists. Thomas Paine obviously wholly believed Americans should be free. In this quote, he says, “and the slavery (which is not free) of fear had made men afraid to think,” Men were afraid to think because of the slavery of fear. Was he saying fear wasn’t free? Maybe he was saying fear causes you to be a slave. However you perceive this quote, freedom is important to everyone, especially those who don’t have it.

What does standing up for what you believe mean? Thomas Paine knew what it meant. What he means is if you don’t have freedom you don’t have anything. And back then people who thought that you wanted freedom thought you were rebels. Was is really bad wanting to be free back then? Well it was!
Many people in the time period said that all men are created equal and all men should have rights when born. But when men try to be free they are frowned upon. So Thomas Paine wrote this to response to his friend Edmund Burke’s reflections on the revolution in France. He tried to make a point to people, to make them see that what everybody is doing and saying is not right. That all people should be free and know one should frown on them. We are all equal, and we all have our rights to be who ever we want to be!

He specialized in influential pamphlets. He came to the colonies. The reason he came back was because of Ben Franklin. He wrote common sense. It is one of the most important documents. He made 100,000 copies. 500,000 copies were pirated. I think he wrote this to say that you should be able to get what you want.

Freedom was a gift to the world. Back in the 1700's
we had slaves. To do all the hard work. Just because they
were black they did not the same right as the white men did.
The slaves were treated poorly and they were fed very little food.
And is they did not do what they were told they would get a punishment.
Or even they could get killed.
A few years later the Declaration of Independence was
written. Which would give every would rights and freedom.
There was still laws and right that you had to follow.
But the blacks got there freedom and they had the same rigth as
the white men had. So the Declaration of Independence was
a very important thing to America. That is what gave
America there freedom.

That there is not much freedom around the globe/world.
The second sentence says that it scares men to let slaves be free. I don’t know what they are scared of and I don’t think they do either. The world I live in has no slaves and we are doing fine. Thomas Paine was trying to say i this all is that the world needs to be free and he wants to fight for that freedom, like a lot of other people.

What I think Thomas is trying to say is that freedom is nothing to not given but earned. By that I mean not everyone is born in the same situation and same surroundings as us. Even if they were born with knowing they are going to be a slave or your family is already slaves and you don’t have freedom. Unfortunately it is what was common back then and there were many slaves and not everyone was born with the freedom we have here in the united states. Coming from a quote I think everyone should value their freedom a little more and do whatever they can to make sure they have it and make the right decisions. Thomas Paine mad a big impact on people and influenced me to value what I have and to realize there is people out there right now that don’t have freedom so never be unappreciative of what you have your lucky.

During 1791 all of Paine's writing and talking was about, natural reason, rights, political equality, tolerance, civil liberties and dignity.
Th book that the phrase, “ Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing.” Comes out of was later turned into a bible for many colonists and other people. Freedom is still the ultimate goal of all people.

Thomas pain was born January,29,1737 in Thetford England. School was not his thing he often failed at it. Even though his dad had a vision for his life and it was a good one Thomas was never able to succeed much things. Eve though all this he was a great leader and knew the world. Sometimes it seems when i reason with my parents for there rules they get mad as if i was rebelling against them when I was only reasoning? But i just know that the lesson learned about this quote is that Freedom is scarce even today let your freedom be free.

Rights of Man was a response to a friend Edmund Burke. Edmund Burke has remained an important figure in the history of political theory.
Rights of Man was Paine’s most influential work. But, the British Government was so outraged by the book they banned it. I personally didn’t know they could ban books. How do they take it from people who already have it? Thomas Paine live in France for most of 1790s. He became deeply involved with The French Revolution. That’s when he wrote Rights of Man, in part defense of the French Revolution.

These are the words of Thomas Paine in 1791. The writer of Common Sense that helped and motivated America Win the war. Actually Thomas Paine from America he was from Norfolk and emigrated Here with Benjamin Franklin in 1774 when he was visiting England. He was Born In 1737 and passed away in 1809 he died at 72. Thomas Paine was a smart man but not always he did start his own debate club at a local tavern in Norfolk. But he was a failure. A failure at his apprentice ship in England but when he moved to America he became on of the most famous writers in American history.

He also mentions that freedom had been hunted around the globe. That is still very true because it is a privilege for us to have freedom, some countries don't to do the kind of things we can. He probably believed in a lot of things but the main thing is that he wanted freedom and he was going to get it. His speech was split into two parts. It was probably split into two parts because it was so long and he wanted to cover a lot of things. Thomas Paine inspired and encouraged people. In the Revolutionary War he encouraged the Americans to stay strong. It took two wars for America to become free and this was what Thomas Paine wanted. I think everybody should stand up for what they believe in and try your hardest to never back down.

Say what you want to say. Thomas Paine said what he wanted to say, and if he go criticized by it which he did by the Founding Fathers. Most of the quotes Thomas Paine had said went into his very motivating book called Common Sense. Some of the quotes George Washington used to get his troops motivated to keep going to fight for our country. Thomas Paine was a very popular man because Common Sense was praised widely by the other Founding Fathers for its instruction on people’s rights to liberty. So Thomas Paine saying “Freedom had been hunted round the globe: reason was considered as rebellion: and the slavery of fear got into mens heads and they were afraid to think”. I believe the quotes is saying that there freedom got hunted down. If there was any freedom in that time period they will take right away from you. That is what I believe Thomas Paine is saying.

ReplyDeleteEveryone deserves to be free and independent. Wanting to be free is not a bad thing. I think that even tories wanted freedom but wanted to be loyal also. As humans we deserve to be free, the U.S is a democracy, everyone decides, we have a leader but if we can change him. We are still being lead but we are also FREE.
Every single human wants to be free. Thomas Paine was a patriot, he wanted to be free. Rights of Man was a pamphlet including arguments between Thomas Paine and Thomas Burke. Thomas Burke’s Reflection on the Revolution in France was attacking about the French Revolution, simply Thomas Paine was saying there is nothing wrong with freedom.

ReplyDeleteThomas Paine had very strong beliefs. After the end of the American Revolution in 1783, Thomas Paine went across sea to Europe. The French were now wanting independence during this time because of what they saw the American achieve. Thomas Paine was willing to help the French gain independence because he had experienced it before. So that’s what he did.
In 1791 he wrote the “Rights of Man”. A quote from this is, "Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing." He wrote this about the British constitution. Trying to get people to be more patriotic and stand for their human rights is what I believe he was trying to say in this quote. In the one part of his quote where it says “Freedom had been hunted round the globe;” .I know he was describing the colonist of how they were tired of being controlled by England. Also when it said in the quote “reason was considered as rebellion;”. I believe that he was talking about the British and when they looked at us they thought of rebellion, but really we were just fighting for what was right. The American people were tired of being controlled and ready to live by what they want and I believe Thomas Paine was trying to get that across. It was hard to receive what you wanted in the past. It is still hard now. War has been going on for years, fighting for our country. People may not realize it, but everyone who fights, wants to keep our freedom, that we already have.

They had to fight for it, it hadn’t come easily. “Reason was considered as rebellion..” Speaking up for what you believed in, the freedom that we knew we needed, was considered as a crime. So afraid of committing this “crime” and the penalties that came with it, people just simply didn’t speak up, their opinion no longer mattered. If no one was going to say anything, the fight for freedom would be a larger of a challenge, as if more people spoke up. More peoples’ words are stronger than the words of just one. Thomas Paine was trying once again to inspire the army into this time, letting their voices be heard. All the truth asks, and all it wants, is to be revealed. The last thing they wanted was someone not to speak up, when they’re opinion wasn’t wrong.

In rights of man he wrote "a little matter will move a party, but it must be something great that moves a nation." By that he meant something little can affect a small group of people but something big(issue) will move a whole nation (something like war.) He wrote many famous quotes and impacted many people during the revolutionary war. When I broke Thomas Paine's famous quote down I came up with meanings to different parts. When he said "Freedom had been hunted round the globe." he meant people around the world all want and look to have freedom. In the next part "reason was considered as rebellion." I thought he meant explaining or argueing with things was considered not obeying your leader. When He said "and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think" I figured he meant and the control fear can have on you can make people scared to think. By the last part of the quote "but such is the irresistable nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants is the liberty of appearing". I interpreted it is the want to know the truth , that all it asks and wants is the freedom to be who you are (the true you, like the americans.)His quotes made people back then think differently about the war and freedom, and helped express the true meaning of why the war was happening (siding with the patriots.)

His plain language was easy for the common people of America to understand and he was the first person to openly ask for independence from Great Britain.
I believe the quote meant that all countries around the world probably wanted freedom, but they were afraid to try because they knew the consequences and they were afraid. Even if they had a good reason their leaders would think they were rebelling and the leaders did not want to lose control of their country. The irresistible nature of truth means it’s hard to not want to know the truth. We all want the truth but, our governments don't always want us to know and they make us afraid to ask questions. For years they have punished people who have looked for the truth and liberty.
Thomas Paine believed the world was his country and his religion was to do good. He believed in one God, and no more; and he hoped for happiness beyond this life.

He will be remembered as one of the greatest journalist of all time.

Freedom needs to be earned in all places. Some people were not guaranteed freedom like slaves in colonial times. But some chose to help and win and earned the right to be free in America.
They earned freedom by defeating the British in colonial times. Which no one thought could be done. They used special tactics from their leader George Washington. They earned their freedom and independence and more parts of America. This quote was helpful to all men in the army and winning the war and it stood as a symbol from being an American.

This expository in my opinion ment something to me. I think it ment how people can have fear, but it's going to slow them down. It wasn't the best though for multiple reasons. Our men and women shouldn't have fear. They can but they shouldn't because it will slow them down. People that are in war don't need to be sloan down
In my life, I don't want to be sloan down either. Fear made me not want to get out of bed today. To do what I am typing rite now in my science class! I don't know why God made us have fear but I think he gave it to s for a reason. MAybe God didn't want me to get out of bed to do the expository for something I did. Fear is not fun but it can slow us down from doing things. Fear though is something we can all get rid of!

Thomas Paine was an author during the Revolution who wrote a lot of different passages encouraging others to keep fighting for the Patriot side. He wrote about how important freedom is and why we needed it. He inspired so many people with his writing. I think Thomas Paine was one of the many reasons people back in 1776 were so inspired to fight for what was right.
Breaking this quote down took a little more time than usual because it was slightly longer. I think what he means, though, is that freedom is a prize that anyone would be willing to fight for. The only problem was, fear had more of an effect on people. Fear muddles a person’s mind into not being able to think at all. It makes them irrational. If you push back fear, good will come from it.

ReplyDeleteWhat this quote means is that when he said “freedom is trying to be hunted” freedom was hard to get back then and you couldn't just do something and get it so when he said hunted he was saying “trying to find it,trying to get it and keeping it.Freedom is a big part in life if you didn't have free dom you didn't have much then without freedom you couldn't do anything people were controling you telling what to do and you had a saying nothing at all.It wasn't easy getting freedom it was hard work to get it you had to put a lot of effort to get and it was worth what some people would die for because if your going to work hard on something make sure you would die for it first and if its not worth dying for then its not worth the effort.When he said “the thought of slavery had men scared thinking about it was that slavery was a really scary thing and if you were a slave your life was in danger amost everyday.When thomas wroe this quote I think he was thinking about his family because his wife and child died and this quote could be emotional for some but he knew what he was talking about and he ment it and when you lose someone close like that this quote could mean a lot to thomas

This means that it wants to appear but is really too afraid to ask.
Everyone deserves to be free and independent. Wanting to be free is not a bad thing. I think that even tories wanted freedom but wanted to be loyal also. As humans we deserve to be free, the U.S is a democracy, everyone decides, we have a leader but if we can change him. We are still being lead but we are also FREE.

When he wrote The Rights Of Man caused him to be labeled an outlaw in england for his anti-monarchist views. He would have been arrested, but he fled from England to France to join the National Convention.
I think Thomas Paine was trying to say is that all that the americans ask is freedom.

What i think Thomas Paine meant by this quote, out of his many quotes, is that freedom has been hunted everywhere, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness has been searched and searched for, and since the Americans wanted this so badly and was talked about, and was even dived into two, the loyalists, and the patriots, it was considered rebellion against the British, and the British wasnt going to just let them. That's what started the Revolutionary War. It also explains how "fear had made men afraid to think" well, this means they obviously knew they weren't good enough to defeat the British, they hardly had as much training as the British had, not much clothing, or weapons neither. So of course the men feared them. But in the end liberty needed to be hunted and found, so the Americans did.

ReplyDeleteFreedom is hunted. In a perfect world everyone is free to do what they like. So far we have not found that perfect world. So we continue to search for it and complete freedom. Thomas Paine's quote says freedom wants the liberty of appearing, in other words even freedom wants freedom.
Truth is another form of freedom I believe. An example could be being framed for a crime. "The truth will set you free" that's a quote for why I think truth is a form of freedom. But freedom is still hunted.

Thomas Paine wrote this after the war. The ten amendments were being written around that time. He probably thought that was a reasonable thing to say and it was. What Thomas Paine said is in one of the four books he has written. IT is called "The Rights Of Man". I think that is a reasonable title. He was a lot about freedom for the people.

People dieing everyday, and the only way you can save them is to give them your food. But honestly you don't want to. Because you want the food. The food is just like our freedom. And we are the only country that has it. And people die everyday from hunger for that freedom, running away from their homes.
We take this freedom for granted. Costs & rewards. That is what our freedom is based off. We give a little you get a little. Fight for your country, & your country will fight for you. Food stamp money comes from other Americans, so people who can't afford food can go to bed full. And thats is why people want to come to America. We are a free and loving country.

This means that it is a eunice thing to see a free country and that the only way our country can be free is to rebel.
Another thing is that this means that fear has in slaved us. And that because of that we are afraid to think. Also that the truth is the resin for liberty. And that is what I think about Thomas Pains quota in 1791.

He wrote this book when he was returning to France in 1787. He wrote part one of his book in 1791 and the second part in 1792. Thomas Paine wasn’t known just for this book but he also wrote Common Sense and The case of officers in excise. So he had really strong beliefs toward freedom. Thomas Paine’s life of genius ended in 1809.

War. What goes through your mind when you hear this word? Do you think about life during 1791 when all the wars for our freedom were occurring? Do you think about all the soldiers that have fought for America’s freedom and still are today? I do, and thats what Thomas Paine’s Quote Means to me. His “Haunted” quote was part of the reason he published the Common Sense. After all most of his quotes are on the common sense. When Thomas first said this it was said during the Revolutionary War. “Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such as the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing.”
Like I said, freedom is very important. Without all the wars, and battles we might not be free today. We might still be under British control. And that would be bad because we wouldn’t have the government and the Presidents and all the other thing we have. So this quote to me means that we fought for our freedom with our own power. We had to go through very tough times filled with fear, death and illness. But we did it. And we are America.

People would always hunt for what they deserved because there was nothing more amazing than the feeling of taking charge for what you need. America in the Revolutionary War was on a hunt for freedom, too. They wanted freedom for britain, but Britain saw their rebellian and fight for a cause as treason. Yet, America continued to fight for what they believed in, and they got the sweet sensation of earning it in the end.
That is the lesson learned from this quote. This quote was said by Thomas P{aine, a political speaker. THomas Paine published "The Crisis" and he said this quote after the war was over and the 10 amendments have been written. It was a quote used in the revolutionary war times.

As our declaration states everyone is born with cretin unalienable rights, But there are people out there who bereave that some people do not deserve thees rights.so the people who are being treated like this are "hunting" freedom. They will do anything to get freedom, And that is what America is to them, a place of freedom where any person is allowed. People want what we have and that's why we fight, and we will keep fighting until everyone is free and freedom is everywhere.

Europe had begun on a principle similar to that of America. I’ve also considered something in my life before. I’ve learned about matter in Science, too. I’ve learned about the difference of the words principle and principal in Language Arts. I’ve also learned about Europe in Social Studies.
I’ve learned that in all, no one should launch a general attack. Nor should there be wars in any countries. There shouldn’t be any attacks. Best of all, no one should ever be in a war.

Thomas Paine was a great man. he was a author. he wrote a couple books like common sense. he was a english-american, he was for the war. he also was a activist and political theorist and revolutionary.
We’ve been through so much. Through slavery, war, and bad economic times, but it’s worth it. ReplyDelete“Freedom...Rebellion...Slavery...Truth...Liberty...” All very powerful words that mean so much and have such a power to us and what America has suffered through to achieve what we have today. Through all of the rough times, like the Revolutionary War, the slavery, the government flaws and achievements, everything. Now, look at where we are now. Were still not perfect, but we hope to get there some day.
In this quote it states, “slavery of fear”, and that really made me realize what fear was. It’s just like slavery. You work all day on the farm and you still get pushed around by your “owner” and your still not free. You work at getting over your fear by trying to face it, but it continues to push you around and be what controls you and your actions, and in the end, you still are not free from your fear.

Freedom wants to be free, people want to be free, EVERYONE whats to be free,but all over the world there are people without it. unlike us united states people there are people all over the world that doesn't get the freedoms that we do like Mr.Pain said people do fight for it all the time all over the world. All give some and some give all no mater what people live threw wars and learn that war is war it comes and goes but it never hides, and freedom is worth it all. The freedom to learn to speak and to live. Even those some think its a rebleon some do not and I favor with those that think not.
